Civitas is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team based in Chicago and New York. Each core staff member oversees the participation of dozens of individuals who contribute to each aspect of our mission from content aggregation through distribution of Civitas' products.
Stephanie Itano is Managing Director. A graduate of Miami University, Ms. Itano has worked for several non-profit organizations including Teach For America.
Ashley Dinneen Rolls, M.A., M.S.W., is
Executive Director. Ms. Rolls is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, and earned a master's degree in education at St. Peter's College and a master's degree in social work from Columbia University. She taught bilingual middle school in Elizabeth, New Jersey as part of the Teach For America program and has clinical social work experience in a wide variety of urban settings.
